Zoning Meetings

Zoning Committee Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month at 7:30 PM.
The Board Of Zoning Appeals meets upon request.
All meetings are held in the Safety Center.

When Zoning Applications and Building Permits Are Required
Zoning applications and building permits are required for the following:
• Accessory Buildings Additions Alterations
Commercial Buildings Decks Demolitions
Enclosures Fences Industrial Buildings
Lakes & Ponds New Construction Porches
Remodeling Re-Roofing (Tear-offs) Signs - Permanent
Signs - Temporary Swimming Pools Wireless Towers
Other Miscellaneous    

What Do I Need To Submit With My Zoning Application?
1. PLANS
Include three (3) sets of plans that show the location, height, width, and depth and any other necessary
measurement.
All fences must be one foot (1 ft.) off the property line.


2. ZONING CERTIFICATE APPLICATION

• Only fill out the questions on the zoning application that apply to your project.

• Include the correct zoning fee.
• Checks should be made payable to Sagamore Hills Township.

3. SEPTIC SYSTEM SITE EVALUATION (IF APPLICABLE)

• See below.


4. SUMMIT COUNTY BUILDING PERMIT
• Upon approval of your Zoning Application.

Homeowners With Septic Systems

If you have a septic system and are building a deck, pool, accessory building,
garage, or other structure, you are required to have a site evaluation by the Summit County Health Department.
This site evaluation is required before you submit your zoning application.
